Arsene Wenger Reveals He’s Scared Of Retirement – Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed he’s scared of the day he walks away from football.

Wenger has been Arsenal’s manager since 1996, and at 66 years of age, the end of his tenure might just be around the corner.

“It’s been my life and, honestly, I’m quite scared of the day,” Wenger revealed in an interview with Alan Curbishly for new book, Game Changers.

“The longer I wait, the more difficult it will be and the more difficult it will be to lose the addiction. It’s an emptiness in your life, especially when you’ve lived your whole life waiting for the next game and trying to win it.”

Wenger is Arsenal’s longest-serving manager ever, and is also one of the most successful, having won 3 Premier League titles and 6 FA Cup trophies in his 19-year tenure at the helm.
